About Our History
In April 1990, Werner Kämpfert founded Sport line Kämpfert. Drawing from his knowledge of his former field of activity in sports and culture, he recognized the potential of a market for the needs of clubs and associations.
The first years were mainly characterized by building business relationships, both on the customer and supplier side. The first major investments were a computer-controlled engraving machine, as well as advertising measures and a first catalog. Sales partners were found from Thuringia to Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Turnover increased and new employees were hired. In 1997, the company adopted the status of a GbR.
At the age of 88, Werner Kämpfert went into his well-deserved retirement and handed over the business to Uwe Zimmermann. Following the sudden passing of Mr. Zimmermann, Uwe Anschütz took over the business management in October 2023.
